Magnetic Island!   This place is gorgeous.  It rained on and off, but we got some really perfect weather Sunday afternoon.  Known as “Maggie” to the Aussies, (see post “how to really speak Australian”) it’s a fairly big tropical island just offshore of Townsville.  Imagine the Lost Island, without the monsters and time travel, but beautiful birds and friendly locals instead!
