OK folks, I want to drop a little knowledge to you, help keep you safe next time you’re in Australia.  There’s a real threat to safety in a lot of the natural areas here, and I’m not talkin about crocs.  The photo above is a rare excellent photo of the fearsome Drop Bear.  

This deadly critter is aptly named-a hungry carnivore that surprises it’s prey by dropping down from it’s treetop perch.  Any solitary walker is in danger of attack-a kangaroo that lags behind it’s mob, a young deer that wonders off alone, and especially a tourist with a bright colored hat standing perfectly still to snap a photo.

Keep your heads up yall, safety first.
