I found this lovely shell during a brief stop on one of the gorgeous, sublime islands known as the Whitsundays, off Airlie Beach in Queensland, Australia. I’ve kept it in my pocket nearly everyday since-I like to think about the long history that brought it to me. It makes my problems seem less important.
And more than that, I’ve always thought of it as a reason to go back. I know the consequences of taking things like this from parks-degradation of both the health and the beauty of the place.
So I’m going back! I will allow my conscience to determine my travel plans. Well, my conscience and also my girlfriend. Click the picture of me and the shell for another page of really beautiful shells.
